Ep 50: Yup, it's another Zelda podcast

It's been a relatively quiet since E3, but that doesn't mean we can't give you an hours worth of gaming content and chortles. It's hard to believe that we've made it to the ripe old age of 50 this week. It's been a blast so far and to celebrate we talk about another old fart that just got released, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Now that the remake is out for the 3DS, we let you know our thoughts and how the game holds up after 13 years of being the most beloved game of all time, Link is the hero of time after all.

In developing news a group of Nintendo hardcore fans have launched a campaign called Operation Rainfall to get some currently unreleased Wii games into the United States. Since Nintendo of America seems to be ignoring their fans, the fans have taken the matter into their own hands. Currently Monado (Xenoblade Chronicles) in the top videogame bestseller list on Amazon due to the fans pre-ordering efforts. We'll see if Nintendo will sniff out the money like a kid looking for cookies.

If you've had a chance to get your hands on Zelda Ocarina, let us know what you think in the comments section. Thanks again everyone for listening, we love you (in a hetero type of way) and enjoy this weeks toast.

Musicast EP 06: Portal

Portal came out of nowhere in 2007 as an innovative action puzzler that quickly became one of the best games to come out in recent years. It was time to make a slight shift in the Musicast format and do game from this console generation. I couldn't think of a better games soundtrack to feature than Portal.

Portal: Composers, Kelly Bailey and Mike Morask. "Still Alive," was written by Jonathan Coulton.

Portal II: Composers Mike Morasky. “Want you Gone” by Jonathan Coulton
I hope you enjoy the ambient techno sounds from the series. This is defiantly music that you can just kick back and put on as background music as you grind your way through your day job. I know that's what I'll be doing.

Please take a moment to leave your comments below and let us know what you think of the new Musicast series and don't forget to send us in your requests for game soundtracks you would like us to feature. We hope you enjoy listening to the show.
