Who Burned My Toast Episode 12: Crisco Party?

On this weeks episode we talk about Final Fantasy XIII and Crisco with a new guest host Mr. Mint, who is a listener we have bribed into doing some of our work for us. If you couldn't tell there are a tons of games coming out at the moment and we can't get to them all, especially on-rail marathons like FFXIII. Please welcome Mr. Mint to the podcast and we hope to continue bringing guest listeners on the show to talk about games and possibly get into some heated debates. So if you think you've got what it takes then drop us a line.

What's a Crisco party you may be asking yourself? We have no idea but we talk about it. We also give final reviews on Heavy Rain's ability to make grown men care about shit and how Mass Effect 2 makes dudes try to bang aliens with plastic button commands.
X X X X Y X.

Review: The Heavy Rain Experience (No Spoilers)

Platform: PS3
Developer:Quantic Dream
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment

As reviews go for games this is going to be a short one. It's not that I don't want to tell you everything that is amazing about Heavy Rain, it's that I don't want to ruin the story by revealing any clues to you. It's best played with a clean slate of mind. If you've gone ahead and read some other reviews or sneaked a peak, you're really only hurting yourself. I'm going to lay it out on the table for you all right now. I'm recommending everyone go out and play Heavy Rain. Even if you don't have a PS3, borrow one or steal one.

Origami. It will give you deadly paper cuts.

Lost Planet 2 looks... Good?

Boy am I sick of seeing shooters nowadays. It seems that everyone has noticed that the shooters sell like hotcakes over here, so they are making their own versions. I think though, some of these people are DOING IT RIGHT! Just take a look:

Who Burned My Toast Episode 11 — The Nintendo Media Summit makes the Butcher go Fanboy

We've made it past the episode 10 milestone and were still here making podcasts! If you've thought you were going to get rid of us, you would be dead wrong faithful listeners.

On this episode the Butcher and Den talk about Nintendo's media summit and what went down on that news packed day. All signs point that Nintendo has quite the lineup of hardcore games this year with more to come. Is it a strategy to take on the upcoming fall motion control onslaught from Natal and the Playstaion Arc? We discuss while Butcher glows with Fanboyism in Nintendo's warm golden light. Speaking of motion controls, we're going to be seeing a lot of it very soon. We talk about how Motion controls seem to suffer from some form of the Uncanny Valley syndrome and if they will ever be the replacement of good old fashion gaming controllers.

In terms of games this week we don't have any reviews for y'all but we do have some first impressions on Mass Effect 2 and Heavy Rain. Did you like Assasin's Creed 2? Well the Butcher didn't and Den did. Let's just say we agree to disagree on that game. We also don't like talking to a wall here at Who Burned My Toast so speak up if you got something to say. We don't bite. We'll Den has a habit of licking used games.

No More Heroes 2: Kitty Taibo

Platform: Wii
Director: Suda 51
Publisher: Ubisoft

Everyone's favorite Otaku Travis Touchdown is back for another gory round of killing his way back to the top of the assassin ranks to number one. This time he's doing it out of revenge for the murder of best friend Bishop (who ran the local video game rental store) by the current number one assassin and to stop this crazy tournament once and for all. The story doesn't go into detail about what's happened to Travis, but three years has passed since the last No More Heroes and Travis has gotten weary of Sylvia (she runs the tournament) and the assassin organization. The story is still going to be a confusing fluff fest, but Suda 51 always manages to make it entertaining. No More Heroes is about blood, kicking ass, and playing exercise mini games with your pet cat Jeane. So cute! Yeah, you heard me right.

You haz too many cheezeburgers.
